I truly cannot recommend Dr. Maggie and her team highly enough. I am a psychotherapist who also happens to have significant dental anxiety, and for years I have searched for a dentist who felt genuinely caring, patient, and emotionally attuned—not just clinically competent. I had posted in a local mom support group asking for recommendations because I was struggling to find someone I felt I could trust, and Dr. Maggie herself saw my post and reached out to offer her help. From the moment I met her, I knew this experience was different. Before she even knew that I was a therapist, Dr. Maggie spoke with me about being trauma-informed and what that actually means in dental care. She took the time to listen to me, my history, my fears, and my feelings before she ever even looked in my mouth. That alone meant more to me than I can adequately express. She never rushed me, dismissed my anxiety, or made me feel embarrassed by it. Instead, she made me feel safe, respected, and involved every step of the way. As a therapist, I spend my professional life thinking about how we create emotional safety for people who feel vulnerable. Dr. Maggie clearly understands that vulnerability exists in medical and dental settings too, and she approaches her patients with a level of thoughtfulness and compassion that is incredibly rare. She has also created an entire practice that reflects those values. From the moment I walked through the door, every single person I encountered was warm, intentional, thoughtful, and kind. Even the physical environment felt peaceful and calming—honestly, more like walking into a beautiful therapist’s office than a dental practice. I never thought I would say that I was looking forward to returning to a dentist—especially when my next visits involve things like an extraction and additional dental work—but I genuinely feel relieved knowing that Dr. Maggie will be the person taking care of me. I know I could not be in better hands. I will absolutely be bringing my children to this practice, recommending Dr. Maggie to friends and family, and referring clients who are searching for a compassionate, trauma-informed dentist. Finding a healthcare provider who combines skill with this much humanity is incredibly special. They made me feel comfortable and took the time to ensure all of my needs were met. Thank you Leslie (x-ray Tech), Denise (Hygienist), and Elizabeth (or Isabelle.. I’m so sorry I could remember the sweet young lady who went over costs and took care of accepting payment). You all were wonderful and deserve individual recognition! My dentist, Dr. Augustyn, truly went above and beyond. Not only did she thoroughly explain my dental health and treatment options, but she also took a genuine personal interest in my overall well-being. The staff and Dr. Singh are amazing! I’ve moved away from the area, but remained a patient because of the great staff and wonderful experiences. I was able to get an appointment fairly quickly when my daughter broke her tooth. She was already nervous going in, but was put at ease by the staff. He is professional, friendly, and has such a great way of making you feel not only welcome, but he truly cares. He also is great at comforting the nervous Nellie patient, which I was when I first started there. As I said, I would never go to any other dentist, and would highly recommend him to anybody looking for dental care. That includes children as his friendly personality would be great with kids. It is the next day, 5/16/25 and since the extraction, I have not taken any pain meds and have very minimal soreness and no pain. Praise God! They used the latest technology (things I’ve never seen before anyway) that made my crown procedure very easy. I’ll continue to treat with Dr. Augustyn as long as she’s in practice, and can highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dentist in the Elmhurst area. UPDATE (7-18-25): I just had an routine checkup yesterday. As always, staff were friendly & professional, & explained everything. The RDH working with me asked about things happening in my life that I'd mentioned the last time I was in, making me feel like an individual who mattered, and not just another patient on their schedule. So I was telling her about on how my mouth is extremely dry from medicine that I take. So she recommended a spray to use and it has been a game changer for me. Dr Singh is great and I appreciate how smooth their process is and the staff are always pleasant. You won’t be disappointed. I give Happy Tooth a 10…. First let me say I was so afraid to go into the dentist and embarrassed like so many others. When I first went to see Dr. Singh, he understood my trepidation and talked about what he was going to do before he did it. At first I even needed to be numb to even have a cleaning! Now, after many years, I'm happy to say I no longer sob, and I mean sob when I go to see him. The entire staff is amazing! I love the hygienist - she is excellent as well! Vito De Benedictis643 days agoWhen I first walked in to Dr. Augustine’s office, I had little to no hope for my smile, I felt I was at a dead end with all of my oral issues. But with the help of Dr. Augustine we were able to come up with a treatment plan and affordable financing for the procedures. I then put all of my trust into Dr. Augustine and her amazing team. Over the course of about 4-5 months she performed 10 root canals/crowns, 1 tooth extraction, and several fillings for the remaining teeth. The team did an amazing job making sure I was comfortable during every operation, as I was awake for all of them. The operations were nearly painless. The only pain I experienced during all operations was when the Dr. delivered the anesthetic, which was very minimal pain. Nonetheless, it was an entirely positive experience from start to finish… The team restored my smile AND my confidence along with it. I extend my biggest thank you and a job well done to Dr. Augustine and the Happy Tooth team. I’ll never go anywhere else for my dental needs. 10/10!!! :)Posted on Google

Maressa Melby704 days agoSuper disappointed by my experience at Happy Tooth. I went in for a first appointment (X-rays, cleaning, and exam). Diane, the dental hygienist that took my X-rays and did my cleaning was fantastic. However, when Dr. Singh came in, he took 2 minutes taking a look at my teeth and told me I was in need of an urgent root canal. He urged me to walk next door to receive a endodontist consult immediately. I used my better judgement and decided to receive a 2nd opinion. At the other dentist office, the Dr. did a vitality test to determine whether or not the tooth was in fact dead and it was not. That dentist was able to place a crown and I avoided a root canal altogether. I am so disappointed that Happy Tooth was so quick to recommend an unnecessary root canal and didn't take the proper time to evaluate the tooth. Additionally, I believe they used fear tactics around the root canal procedure and possible pain if I waited any longer so that I would use the endodontist that they do "business" with. Can't help but feel as though it was all about the bottom line all along. They also have a page on their website describing their holistic dentistry approach which I find very misleading considering I was recommended to use fluoride toothpaste and receive a root canal during my first appointment.Posted on Google

Holly Jeffers748 days agoI have been coming to Happy Tooth for just about 15years. I love that they can handle just about any service and do not need to refer to all kinds of specialists. I have always needed a lot of dental work as once I have a cavity the acceleration in size is exponential. As a kid I would always lose fillings, they would just pop out or need to be replaced. I do not have any issues with crowns and the crowns I have gotten from Dr Augustyn are always perfect. She works fast, is thorough and focused on her work. Having watch them expand their office and team in elmhurst over the years shows their success with which they take charge with keeping on the forefront of dental care. (Technologies, treatments, and processes) They also have a convenient location for commuters being right off the metra. When our insurance choices changed at work we had to go with a different plan to stay with Happy Tooth and even though it was a bit higher, we elected to change plans and remain with Happy Tooth. The offices are very inviting and always well maintained. The staff is wonderful and knowledgeable. They take care of all your needs the first time. Although not a patient, they were able to fit me in immediately as a dental emergency (I had lost a filling and part of my tooth). They were able to file down the painful sharp, jagged edges and put in a temporary filling until I could get to my own endodontist in Virginia. Due to a change in insurance coverage, I was forced to find a New dentist and I couldn’t be happier! Tony Patti886 days agoI had a great experience ! It started with registration the young lady was very nice and treated me with a smile. My hygienist Denise was wonderful!!! Very professional and kind explained what Happy Tooth’s procedure was before diving in , and the dentist Dr Maggie Augustyn, was the best! She introduced herself went over my x-rays , explained my problem and how to solve it, she did not rush the appointment and put me completely at ease! Jason N.898 days agoThere is no dentist better than Dr Maggie Augustyn and her staff! Our family has been going to her for a few years and she is extremely thorough and very gentle. She personally found a tumor on my tongue that turned out to be stage 4 cancer of the tongue. Without her seeing this I wouldn’t be here today. I recommend anyone any age to see her as their primary dentist. Wonderful group!!!Posted on Google

She was so attentive and knowledgeable about my insurance and pointed out a charge I would have on my next visit, just so I was aware before we came in. Lori Orlikowski906 days agoI already knew Dr. Singh is outstanding. I had an unfortunate event happen to me that I met Yessica today. Yessica made an uncomfortable procedure bearable. She checked in with me often to make sure I was doing 'ok'. She also explained everything that was about to happen. What made this visit 10 stars is the few words a doctor has with an assistant in the presence of a patient. This showed me Dr. Singh has so much respect, confidence, and trust in Yessica. I knew I was in good hands with Dr. Singh and Yessica. Sadly I have to visit them again in 2 weeks.Posted on Google

Linda M928 days agoI just finished my 2nd “Deep Cleaning “ with Denise. She was so thorough and kind, I would say these appointments were very positive. She absolutely made sure I did not have pain & on both visits if I needed more novocaine she went to Dr. Singh & he came to give me more. I am so happy this procedure is completed. I would definitely go back if I needed it again. I am so glad to have found a dentist I can feel comfortable going to. Denise was totally kind, friendly, & professional. I have experienced everything from periodontal cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canals, & dental implants. Tammy Ryan963 days agoMy name is Lon Ryan, I have been going to Happy Tooth for about 10 years now. Every staff member has been very friendly and caring every time I’ve been there. Dr. Singh is my dentist and has always been polite and very professional. Diane is my Oral hygienist, another true professional. Yesterday I had 3 extractions performed by Dr. Augustyn. What a terrific dentist and person, she even had me text her with any questions I had and how I was feeling after the local worn off and replied to me quickly. Not only is the quality of care stellar and the level of efficiency extraordinary, but everyone who works there seems happy and like they enjoy being there. That speaks VOLUMES! When you enjoy the work you’re doing and are in an environment where you can have fun while doing it…there’s a trickle down effect to the patients. We all know there is nothing fun about going to the dentist. But at Happy Tooth it’s as fun as it can be! We were lucky to have found such a caring dentist. Plus, she has this very effective technique with local anesthesia administration. Dr Amrik Singh throughly looked at my X-rays and knew exactly what was needed. Explained me the whole game plan for my dental care. Just wanted to share my experience. At the entrance receptionist was very warm and welcoming and office was very clean. Denise who worked on my teeth was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. She made sure I was aware of each and every move that she is making and explaining the procedure’s. What to expect and how I would feel. I highly recommend happy tooth for your dental needs. I had a couple bad experiences in years past with other dentists and was very anxious about going. My daughters wedding was coming up and I was hoping to get some basics done before this. Dr. Augustyn not only took care of it and helped ease my mind, but she made sure to squeeze me in for appointments and completed a lot of major work in a short time to accomplish this with as little discomfort as possible! Jackie M1091 days ago10/6/23: UPDATE! After getting a crown on a cracked tooth monday, and getting 2 cavities filled yesterday, my dental health is good until my visit next year! I felt tge need to update because I wanted to really express my gratitude. I have Multiple Sclerosis, which causes some issues with my face and eyes twitching. Of course that happened on my last visit. Dr. Singh was so great. He worked with what was happening and was so understanding, and made sure i was comfortable. It was such a relief to have that compassion from him. Honestly. Go here. I cannot say enough good things! 🥰 10/2/23: I said it before, and I'll say it again. This professional dental office deserves 5 stars. They are reasonably priced, thoughtful and caring, along with being concerned about your comfort. Dr. Singh is, to put it simply, just awesome. He explains everything he is going to do and there are no surprises! The ladies who work in the office and the dental assistants are fantastic too! I would recommend them anytime to anyone. Manny Aguirre1123 days agoI had a great experience at Happy Tooth. Not sure how many people can say that after having a root canal done but it was honestly very pleasant. I was greeted upon walking in and was in the back within 5 minutes. While Marella got things set up she reassured me that I had nothing to worry about. Then Dr Singh stopped in and explained to me that it would be an easy and painless procedure. Dr Augustyn arrived shortly and explained everything to me and told me if there was any pain she would take a break so that I would be comfortable. I didn’t feel a thing until the evening when the Novocain wore off. Would recommend 10/10.Load more
